To keep the legacy and memory of Bob Hope at the center of the inaugural Humana Challenge, Humana has named the championship trophy after the late entertainment icon and philanthropist. The design of the Bob Hope Memorial Trophy embodies the spirit and wholeness of a healthy lifestyle, and captures the essence of the Humana brand.
For Humana, well-being goes beyond health and wellness and includes achieving a happy lifestyle through a balanced approach that includes purpose, belonging, security and living life fully. With this in mind, Humana challenged several artists to submit trophy designs that reflected and symbolized Humana and the ideals of the tournament itself.
Humana chose a design by Kentucky artist Kenneth von Roenn to serve as the Bob Hope Memorial Trophy. The trophy is a triangular design which embodies Humana’s commitment to growth, health and movement, the Clinton Foundation’s essence of worldliness and unity, and the world class golf of the Humana Challenge tournament.
The Bob Hope Memorial Trophy will serve as the physical manifestation of the ideals carried by Humana and the Clinton Foundation as well as create a lasting tribute to Bob Hope and the incredible legacy he left behind.
